The liberalization of fuel prices in 2015 led to local rates aligning with global oil prices. Over the past eight years, the fuel price committee has convened monthly to announce revised rates. The government anticipates that these measures will promote the use of public transportation and incentivize the adoption of alternative fuels among residents.
